Terms of Service
Effective date: August 2, 2026
These terms govern your use of the Shwipe mobile game and related services. By playing Shwipe, you agree to them.
1. Who can play
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country, if higher) to create an account. Solo mode is available without an account.
2. Your account
Accounts are accessed with one-time codes sent to your email — keep access to that email secure, because anyone with it can access your account. Your display name must not impersonate others or contain offensive content; we may require you to change a name that violates this. You can delete your account at any time in the app's settings.
3. Fair play
Don't cheat. This includes using bots, automation, exploits, modified clients, or multiple accounts to manipulate ratings or leaderboards. Word validation happens on our servers, selections are rate-limited, and we may suspend or terminate accounts that violate fair play — including forfeiting ill-gotten ratings, streaks, or leaderboard placements.
4. Purchases
In-app purchases (such as streak saves or premium content) are processed by Apple or Google under their payment terms. Purchases are for a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use digital content in the game — they aren't property and have no cash value. Except where required by law or by the app store's refund policies, purchases are non-refundable. Prices may change; we'll never change what you already bought into something less than what you paid for.
5. Our content
The game, including its code, design, word lists, and branding, belongs to us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to play. Don't copy, resell, or redistribute the game or extract its content.
6. Availability
Shwipe is a live service — we may add, change, or remove features (including events, themes, and modes), and we may suspend the service for maintenance. We'll give reasonable notice of material changes where practical. Offline solo play remains available without connectivity.
7. Termination
You can stop playing and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, applicable law, or the fair-play rules. Where reasonable, we'll warn you first.
8. Disclaimers and liability
Shwipe is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the same extent, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
10. Changes to these terms
If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and notify you in the app. Continuing to play after changes take effect means you accept them.
